Our Story

Chris Vedeler, L.Ac

Chris is a Licensed Acupuncturist in the state of Arizona and Assistant Professor at Sonoran University. He is also the acting department head of Chinese medicine at Sonoran University. He has been an adjunct professor of Chinese medicine since 2005, teaching at Sonoran University since 2011 and teaching at Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture (PIHMA) since 2005. He has a private acupuncture practice in Tempe, Arizona where he shares his office with his wife and has been treating patients since 2006.

His primary interest areas are in the study of consciousness, the power of the mind in healing and the treatment of pain and emotional issues using Chinese medicine. Chris is equally comfortable discussing scientific theories as well as the ancient philosophy and healing arts of Chinese medicine.

Chinese medicine works with your own vital energy to facilitate gentle, holistic, and natural healing. While all efforts are made to relieve your symptoms, an equal or greater emphasis is placed on rebuilding your body's innate ability to maintain health and vitality by bringing all of the body's systems into balance.

When he is not teaching or practicing Chinese medicine, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife, learning about history, astronomy and psychology. He also enjoys being in nature, appreciating art and music, working on cars and doing home remodeling.

"Chris was able to clear up my problem with three sessions of acupuncture! My Achilles tendons were inflamed to the point that I thought my basketball playing days were over. Incredible pain to play, and immense suffering afterwards; with no relief from any kind of pain/inflammation treatment. The first session was a mild, exploratory test for acupuncture.
